4 months of tiredness
13 November 2015, the day where my four months of tiredness has finally come to an end. I started my first internship in mid July at Gardens by the Bay. The day where I get to experience new things and enhance my customer service skills. The first two months was quite exhausting as I was stationed at Children`s Garden where I had to stand under the blazing hot sun and where I got my "free" sun tanned. My family and friends kept asking me why I looked dark and even gave me the nickname "black girl". I was quite upset as I got darker each day but everyday when I stepped into Children`s Garden I seem to forgot why I got upset of my skin because the children that we receive everyday always keeps me smiling. I was glad that I get to work at this fun department, my long lost dream was to become a childcare teacher but thanks to this internship I was able to interact and have fun with the kids and really I don`t mind not fulfilling my dream because there will always be another alternative for you to achieve that.
After two months of having fun, it was time to get serious as I was transferred to the visitor information team. To be honest I didn`t really like the idea of transferring to the VS team due to the rentals and loads of information that you have to handle everyday. And so I thought "damn I`m gonna screw the next two months of my internship". But to my surprise I was able to learn everything including the information of the whole garden in just three weeks! I mean come on, you have to give me credits for being a fast learner aye *winks*
And with all the events we had for the past two months, time flies so fast that even I forgot that two months have just passed by. I really really had fun working with my fun colleagues from both departments, seriously if it weren`t for them I don`t think I`m able to complete my task at work. I`m really gonna miss them so much, I hope I`m able to work with them again Insyallah. Don`t worry guys, I shall drop by sometime and say hi okay? Hehehehe
